Pistol "Swift" (Strike) software developed by Arsenal Firearms for the armed forces, law enforcement, shooting sports, and as a civilian self-defense. For the Russian market a pistol-caliber cartridges manufactured under nine millimeters (9x19, 7N21 and 7N31). Strike for the Western market is available in four different calibers: 9x19, 9x21 IMI, .357 SIG and .40 S & W.
The pistol comes in full metal body (weight to 890 grams) and with the use of polymers (weight up to 750 grams). The gun has a magazine for 17 rounds, the eject button is located on both sides of the handle.
Makarov pistol, designed in the late 1940s, in turn, weighs 810 grams and is designed for eight rounds of 9x18 mm. In February 2012 the Defense Ministry announced plans to replace the PM Yarygina pistols.
